The Top 5 Reasons We Love March at RSVP Catering

Washington DC is arguably one the best places to be in the Springtime. We have so many amazing things about our city, all year round, but when the weather starts to warm, the region comes alive. Of course, we get the occasional cold snap, or snowstorm, (like this week!) but we all know that the cold days are past and the warmth of Spring is on its way.

Here are the best things to us about the month of March, in no particular order.

Number 5
It’s wedding planning season!

Engagement season is over, and now the fun part begins! Well fun to us anyway. Couples are taking advantage of the warmer weather to get out to venues, make important decisions and pick their caterers. We love this time of year, because we have the opportunity to help our clients put together a an event of a lifetime. Our seasoned team of Account Executives host monthly tastings, to educate our clients on one of the most important aspects of the wedding reception, the food!

Number 4
St. Patricks Day

On March 17th we’re all a little Irish…
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is an American Tradition and we fully endorse taking the opportunity to celebrate as the Irish do. We don’t necessarily recommend green food coloring in your beer, but you better get your green on. We love to prepare traditional Irish feasts for our clients each year. Our St. Patrick’s Day menu is available until the end of the month, so don’t worry, you have time to place an order with us. Classic Corned Beef and Cabbage and Potatoes are so incredibly satisfying. Finish it off with a decadent Guiness cupcake with Irish Cream Frosting!

Number 3
March Madness

For the first time all season, we’re paying attention to NCAA BAsketball. It’s tournament season! Get your brackets together, order up some snacks from RSVP Catering for your party and enjoy the glory of the game.

Number 2
Cherry Blossoms

Perhaps the most iconic symbol of Washington DC are the Japanese Cherry Blossoms. Once a year, Washingtonians and tourists who travel from all over the world flock to the Tidal Basin to view the wondrous pink blooms. If you’re lucky enough to be here in the short window the trees are in full bloom, it’s truly an amazing sight. This year, they’re blooming a little early, so see them while they last because they’ll be gone before you know it.

Number 1
Spring Produce

Now that the weather has warmed, options for seasonal and local produce and increased tremendously! From Asparagus to Grapefruit to Spring Peas we have it available now. Our brand new Spring and Summer menus take these incredible fresh ingredients to create innovative dishes that will wow you.
