Events by Andre Wells at the National Museum of African American History and Culture

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the newest Smithsonian museum in D.C. and is an amazing venue for events. We teamed up with Events by Andre Wells and The Mark and Brenda Moore and Family Foundation to put on a fabulous cocktail reception for over 200 guests. Mark Moore recently wrote and published the book A Stroke of Faith: A Stroke Survivor’s Story of a Second Chance at Living a Life of Significance.. If you haven’t read about Mark’s story, you can find it here.

The guests enjoyed passed hors d’oevures, rolling taco carts and hearty southern stations. The heirloom tomato station was a colorful hit that featured heirloom tomatoes, assorted salts and herbs, fresh burrata and dressings. The southern station featured smoked paprika short rib, shrimp and grits, and mini Brussels sprouts crocks. Dessert trays were passed around with seasonal popsicles and our new mini cream puffs.

Photography from the evening was done by Davide DePas, rentals by DC Rental and florals from Sue Blu.
